GRANT SPOTLIGHT: EAST MIDDLE SCHOOL FITNESS CENTER

East Middle School did not have the proper equipment in its weight room to align with other middle schools in the district and to adequately educate students on a piece of fitness equipment commonly found in gyms and workout facilities. Thanks to WEF Grants across two years, students are now able to learn how to safely use this equipment and understand how it contributes to a strength training regimen.

GRANT SPOTLIGHT: CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT BUILT WOODEN CORNHOLE SETS

With support of a WEF Grant, the Physical Education and Tech Education departments at Central Middle School partnered together to build bag boards to be used in the PE yard game units, as well as during MyTime. It was a great experience for students who were interested in working with their hands, wanted to show off their creativity and leave a legacy at CMS for future students to use!
