Thanks to a $4,000 WEF Grant, WHS was able to offer a new guitar course offered as an elective for the 2025-2026 school year. The grant provided funding for the guitars that are necessary to teach the students - play the video above to hear what they have already learned after only a few weeks!

GRANT SPOTLIGHT: HEALTH SCIENCE

The Health Science Pathway at WHS has been met with great enthusiasm by both students and community members. WEF supported this pathway with a grant of $7,800 for gender and race diverse mankins to help better prepare students for a future career in healthcare

GRANT SPOTLIGHT: METALS MANUFACTURING

Weld simulator use is increasing, and with the support of a $3,480 WEF Grant, WHS students in Metals Manufacturing have the opportunity to experiment with the correct technique before they actually use a welder.

GRANT SPOTLIGHT: AP SCIENCE

Thanks to a $4,4464 WEF Grant for new equipment, WHS students in the AP Environment Learning Course had the opportunity to participate in an outdoor, hands-on, “real-life” project to assess and present data on the health of Elm Creek.
